The Chef has re-invented the well-loved eggplant salad and made it more refreshing and flavored. Golden Blitz is probably the only place in Romania where you can have this food specialty.

One of the creations of our Master Chef, a specialty that you will not find in any other restaurant in the country. Chef Andrei Bald combined fresh, light and savory ingredients in a delicious dish that will not only enchant your taste buds, but catch your eye as well. Pamper your senses with this original salad, light but also nourishing, rich in vitamins and minerals.

Season’s recommendation: Gazpacho

All the savor of the vegetables ripe in the summer heat is embodied in this soup of Spanish origin (Andalusian, to be precise), prepared without fire. The Master Chef serves it on a long crouton, carefully sliced of a baton, placed on top of the plate so it stays crispy. For an added fresh touch, if that was needed, but also to enchant the eye, he added a couple of cherry tomatoes and 3-4 basil leaves. A refreshing, light and strongly flavored specialty.

 

PASTA

    • Tagliatelle with spinach, dried tomatoes, shrimps and feta cheese
    • Linguine with tomatoes, capers, olives and anchovies
    • Linguine with seafood and tomato sauce
    • Fusilli with hot sausages, broccoli and tomato sauce

A surprisingly pleasant combination, perfectly balanced nutrient-wise and with a delicious taste. It is one of the dishes we believe will make history with the new Golden Blitz.

Another specialty you can only taste at the Golden Blitz, created by Chef Andrei Bald to lead on the legend of our place. You will not only appreciate the taste, but also the colorful aspect and the association of textures: crispy (calamari rings, the chorizo slices and the parmesan topping), soft and succulent (the rice, the bell pepper and the other vegetables).

 

FISH

Gilt-head bream, trout or sea perch cooked in salt crust, in oil paper or on the grill.

    • Salmon filé , halibut filé or red snapper filé served with:
      - spinach with butter and sour cream
      - wild rice
      - vegetables sautéed with butter and wild thyme
      - potatoes with zucchini and capers
      - tomatoes filled with rice and vegetables

The red snapper (Lutjanus campechanus) is an Atlantic Ocean fish, captured in the Mexico Gulf or along the U.S.A. coast, very appreciated for it’s fine taste and pleasant consistency. There are very few restaurants in Romania where you can find it and Golden Blitz is the only one where you can have this combination proposed by our Chef. The fish filé is fried to get the golden, crispy crust while being careful to keep the juicy meat inside, and the thin slices of potato and zucchini accompanies it discretely, not competing with its very special taste. The capers give an extra touch of savor and their specific texture, while the aromatic pesto made of fresh herbs rounds up this wonderful dish we are so proud of.

We addressed in detail most of the main dishes in the “Legendary dishes” section. Our defining specialties, those “signature dishes” created under the direction of our Master Chef are: the calf osso bucco, the veal or pork sirloin, the calf liver or the lamb chop. With their delicious side dishes and sauces, they will stick to your memory and will, from then on, become the standard by which you will judge the taste of other dishes. That is why, when deciding over the other main dishes in the menu, we had to choose specialties that were comparable to the menu “stars”. So try the calf schnitzel in parmesan crust, the chicken scallop or the calf involtini and you will be impressed.

 

TRADITIONAL ROMANIAN DISHES
